Cleaner – Landscaping & Gardening
Job Description
Purpose
To perform overall general cleaning, landscaping and gardening work of the internal and surrounding perimeter area of the South African Bank Note Company (SABN) facilities.
Main Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Carry out cleaning tasks of the internal and surrounding perimeter area of the SABN open spaces
- Grass cutting and maintenance of landscaping
- Remove all general waste (including metals and redundant equipment) around site
- Ensure that refuse bins are emptied and rubbish is segregated and removed daily
- Perform routine inspection, document the inspections and maintain the records
- Cleaning and maintaining the Fish pond, report identified needs for repairs
- Wash, clean, inspect and report repairs of all SABN Facilities vehicles
- Perform general assistance work and ad-hoc duties as and when required
- To ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:
- Grade 12
- Driver’s license
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a landscaping, cleaning and gardening position
- Experience in using grass cutting equipment’s, both hand-held and mobile would be added advantage
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of grass cutting equipment
- SHE requirements
- Communication (verbal and written) skills
- Computer literacy
